Braces are definitely the most efficient and accurate way of moving teeth.
At Underwood Dental Care, we work closely with a team of orthodontists who primarily use braces to achieve that winning smile! All braces are bonded to the teeth – this avoids using cumbersome and unhygienic rings around the teeth.
Your braces are made up of brackets, wires and tiny “o” ring elastics. A bracket is attached to each tooth and a wire is used to link the brackets together, with the “o” rings holding the wires to the brackets. The braces put a small amount of pressure on each tooth, gently pushing them into place.
Your braces stay on throughout your treatment. There are 3 main types of braces- metal, clear and Invisalign. You can even choose coloured “o” rings, if you like!
