Dr Benjamin Thai – Principal Dentist
Dr Benjamin Thai graduated with Honours in Dentistry from University of Queensland. In his studies, he was also awarded the Gordon Christiansen prize for highest achievement in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He is currently a part-time clinical supervisor at the University of Queensland Dental School.
Ben established Underwood Dental Care in October 2009, having had prior experience in other private practices in the south side of Brisbane as well as public dental clinics in Townsville. Ben’s vision for Underwood Dental Care was to treat all our patients with a high quality of care and respect. It is important to see dentistry from our patients’ point of view, which allows us to improve on providing the creature comforts that set us apart.
Ben has a gentle and caring chair-side manner and takes care in presenting and explaining in detail, treatment plan alternatives in all areas of modern Dentistry. He has a special interest in Cosmetic dentistry and children’s dentistry.
Dr Tania Bong – Assistant Dentist
Dr Tania Bong completed her Bachelor of Dental Science degree at the University of Melbourne. She then spent time living and working in towns all over rural eastern Victoria before moving to Brisbane in late 2011.
A gentle, caring dentist and listener, Tania prides herself in putting patients first to ensure they are comfortable and happy during their dental visit. Not only is quality dentistry important but also to help patients feel good about their dental experience. She enjoys many different aspects of dentistry with an interest in more conservative dental practice. Tania is committed to and always freshly inspired by ongoing professional development education courses to ensure patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced care.
Outside of work, Tania enjoys culinary pursuits (eating), watching tv shows and spending valuable time catching up with friends and family. She is also very excited to learn more about her new city.
Mrs Anthea Hutton – Practice Manager
Anthea has been working in the dental industry for over 8 years. Having worked in many Dental Clinics throughout Brisbane, Toowoomba and Gatton Regions, this experience has developed her skills her current role as Practice Manager, to ensure your visit with us is as smooth and easy as can be.
